Ideus thermal carafes

68 oz of coffee that outlives the meeting it was made for.

Choosing an Ideus carafe

The carafe is the piece that stays put. Sixty-eight ounces is about four mugs of coffee, kept for the table rather than carried, and the stated figures are the longest in the range in both directions.

It is also the piece reviewers disagree about most, and the disagreement is worth reporting rather than smoothing over: some say theirs outlasted the machine that filled it, others report a pouring mechanism that stopped behaving. The pouring head is the part that decides it, and it is the part worth washing properly rather than rinsing.

Several versions come as a set with a second vessel, an airpot, a soup container, a dispenser. On those the figures on this site describe the carafe: the partner has its own numbers, and putting the two together in one specification would be inventing a product that does not exist.
