Editorial policy

Two rules do most of the work: name the source of a number, and leave the gap where there is no number.

Everything factual on this site is read from the Ideus product listings on Amazon and checked on 24 August 2026. We have not put a thermometer in a mug or a bottle on its side in a bag, and we do not describe the maker's figures as tests of our own.

Where a listing states nothing, this site states nothing. That is why some rows in the hours table are empty and why several pieces carry a lid verdict that reads “not stated” rather than borrowing a claim from a similar piece. An empty cell is information. A filled-in guess is not.

Where two listings for the same piece disagree, and one pair does, we publish the more modest of the two claims and the build prints the disagreement so it cannot be quietly forgotten.

Ratings and rating counts are shown as text with the date we read them, and they are never placed in the page's structured data. Putting somebody else's review score into our own markup is a misrepresentation search engines act on, and the number is more useful next to the price anyway.

We do not compare this range to premium brands by name, do not claim certifications we hold no document for, and do not use expedition or military language about drinkware meant for a desk and a car.
